In the past half hour we have almost doubled the amount
of rain that has fallen so far this month. It's less dramatic
than it sounds, though, because we somehow managed to
miss out on the heavy showers last Wednesday (thunder
heard to the south on that day) and our August 2010 total
stands at a measly 2.3mm to date.
