Good I'm pleased!
I don't want to see people hounded off.
Just keep the posts either humorous or on topic and you will be fine. You

Col my post was meant to be a joke.

"I received quite a few emails all with the same heartfelt message,

In other words I got lots of email saying **** off and don't come back.

Hey ho.

I agree. I just think you and your mate battling for the last word ad
nauseum gets a bit tiresome.

Col thinking about what you;'ve just said, the only posts I've made have
been about the high NH snow cover news. Sometihing about tropical currents
and Arctic ice melt, A link to Joe *******i and the PDO in that vein a link
to the incredible amounts of snow fall in the Eastern USA. The only
political stuff was about UKMO who I will never change my view on that they
consistently OTT warnings on their website. Mark posed why sudeenly Southend
was at risk and checked the warnings page and surprisingly saw these heavy
snow warnings for the SE. which were absolute rubbish as reality proved.
I'm sorry but like many governnment agencies pure drivel is being spouted as
it is increasingly politically guided.

I mean Be Aware, Be Prepared and Take Action.

Surely there are those old enough here to remember there never used to be
this dramatic approach to weather.

Yep. In an ideal world, I'd like to kill just those posts that Lawrence
makes in response to Dawlish and those that Dawlish makes in response to
Lawrence, and see everything else that they contribute. I see from
cross-posts, that there is now an
alt.global-warming newsgroup. It would be nice if debates on global
warming from a political or environmental activist, as opposed to a
climatological, standpoint could be taken therte. (Though I concede that
there is a problem in that it already seems to have been colonised by a
number of nutters.)

I was just thinking the same thing!
Unfortunately I've had to killfile both of them, to remove
the clutter if nothing else.
Hopefully I will see the good stuff they post in quotes....

What are you using as a newsreader?

Turnpike - which I admit comes with Demon as an ISP - allows the thread
to be expanded so that the structure can be seen, with who has responded
to who in each post and any changes of header.

Thus I can select your post to read....

Oddly enough, Darren Prescott's posts aren't showing up for me at the
moment - certainly wouldn't have kill-filed him intentionally and
neither he nor enta.net show in the kf rules. Weird. Using nntipaioe.org
to collect, as I can't get Demon to do ngs any more.
