Default Penzance - Wet windy & Mild night

A wet & windy night (though fortunately not as windy as 12th) with
20.4mm of rain, mostly between 21:00 & 05:00.
Minimum temperature 9.7C

Been a bit bemused by the continued warnings of flooding by snow melt
for Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly, as this is the 4th day to exceed
10C. Most of Cornwall, apart from Bodmin Moor & the Liskeard area, had
lost virtually all snow by the afternoon of 13th. In west Cornwall
almost all had gone by breakfast on 12th. In fact it was 12th when
river levels were very high west of Truro, as we had a very rapid
thaw, with 20-25mm of rain being typical.

Different in Devon perhaps, but that's somewhere in England I believe.

No problems with snow melt on Dartmoor. Yes yesterday it poured off
continually but it was only like what it usually is after 40mm+ of rain
which is not unusual. It would have been a different story had the rain and
mild all come at once, as it happened the mild came, melted a lot of the
snow and then the rain last night finished the job. We're used to wet and
snow on Dartmoor and the rivers coped as far as I can tell. In 24 hours it
will have all calmed down and it will be as if nothing had happened!
