Following a line of prolonged showers along the S Wales fringe we have a
light dusting here on the coast, but the MIL who is 1000' up north of Newport reports a good four inches on cars and walls. The M4 has had one lane shut all morning. Looks like the tail end of the cold spell, but a welcome change from 'at least it will be mild'. Cheers James -- James Brown |

The M4 has had one lane shut all morning. We had an "interesting" journey from Cardiff to Carmarthen last night around 11 pm. Several heavy showers of sleet, snow and hail, which appeared to be sticking, at least temporarily. What was worrying at the time was the speed with which the showers could leave a substantial covering on previously clear roads. Visions of being stranded in the wilds of Port Talbot. -- Hungerdunger To reply by email, remove the MARX from my address |

Well almost - the M4 was closed a while later! Cheers James -- James Brown |
