Default WM-918 thermo-hygro sensor problem (humidity too low)

After a couple of years in storage I've dusted off my Oregon WM-918
cabled weather station. There seems to be a problem with the remote
temperature / humidity sensor. The temp is OK but the humidity sensor
seems to be in error. The station base sensor is reading 53% but the
remote sensor is reading 15% (they are both in the same room). I've
cleaned out the sensor - but it hasn't helped.
Any ideas anyone? Is there a place that services these devices / or
can I get a replacement somewhere?

I have a 928 which flatlines on atmospheric pressure (at a low value)
when the base unit batteries are low. There's no other obvious signs
that the batteries need changing - all the other functions seem to
work OK. In fact, they continue to work for weeks on otherwise 'flat'
batteries

It had me resetting the unit, fiddling about with it and finally
(fruitlessly) Googling for the cause when it first happened, until I
finally stumbled on the battery change.

I have a WM-918 that I am considering resurrecting it needs a connecting box
and (surprise, surprise) an outdoor temperature sensor. Did you persevere
with yours or do you have any parts for sale?
