Once someone gets infected with terminal conservatism (usually by their late 20s), all evidence that doesn't suit them will be denigrated. Someday, science might learn that arch-conservatism is a brain malfunction, possibly treatable. I liken it to full-duplex communication becoming half-duplex, wherein knowledge can only flow out, not in. If they come up with a pill or surgery for this condition, fundamentalism could be eradicated and many chronic problems solved. I'm going to print that and frame it! |

Well if anything the mental condition that seems to affect western affluent youth who turn to destructive hate filled leftish dogma to rebel against Pater and Mater is also a phenomenon that needs to be recognised. Some of these well fed spoilt youth go on to work in the very institutions that they so apparently despised when on their demonstrations. Some however almost pickle in their self-loathing thus clouding their perspective of history to such a degree that they actually believe there was a golden age when all humans and nature lived in blissful harmony. It’s almost a version of creationism where the golden age where all lived happily and idyllically ever after and that has been dated to end just before the industrial revolution. These lefty nutters who find their spiritual home in the BBC and Guardian type organisations spout out hatred for all that represents western society, they hate our history, our achievements and our democracies. They also hate Christianity as a moribund reactionary force yet *embrace* Muslim fundamentalism as a progressive force in with which to destroy the evil western world. Anyhow rant balance now achieved back to Co2. I defy anyone to show me any textbook scientific reference to life enabling Co2 being a pollutant pre-AGW hysteria. |
