I have a La Crosse WS2305. Recently the software "heavy weather"
stopped recognising the data file it was set to read and write to. This happened overnight without any obvious reason (like a Windows update). I have re-installed the software, contacted La Crosse, checked the cable and the PC serial interface...etc.... But no results. Has anyone had a similar problem and what was the solution please? This installation has been running for over a year without a hitch! PC is operating on Win XP home edition. The software is installed in C:/heavyweather as recommended by La Crosse (they say it works better there rather than in C:/Program Files/ heavyweather) and the data file is in the same folder as the program. I have tested the software/data cable/base unit on another (Win98) machine and it works perfectly. |
