predicted precipitation. Does this include convective precipitation as well as frontal? |

I stand to be corrected but I wouldn't have thought so. It may well suggest showery precipitation but in the sense of the whole area. Thus, unless there is a particularly large shower that can be modelled and able to give a forecast position, any coloured spots on the map do not mean you will get a shower in that exact place - just a general picture of showers in the area. |

If you're talking about the one I think you are (Meteox), it's neither - the "prediction" appears to be just an animation that drags the current radar image in the same direction as it has been moving up to now... |
