Default UKMO fax charts

UKMO charts today (01FEB):
From 12Z

T+24 12Z 02 Feb correct
T+36 00Z 03 Feb correct
T+48 12Z 03 Feb correct
T+60 12Z 03 Feb (should be 00Z 04 Feb)
T+72 00Z 04 Feb (should be 12Z 04 Feb)
T+84 12Z 04 Feb (should be 00Z 05 Feb)
T+96 12Z 04 Feb (should be 12Z 05 Feb)
T+108 12Z 05 Feb (should be 00Z 06 Feb)
T+120 12Z 05 Feb (should be 12Z 06 Feb)
T+132 12Z 06 Feb (should be 00Z 07 Feb)

Why don't the charts match the correct time from the initial analysis?

Apologies if this is obvious.

David.

Generally speaking all charts valid up to T+72 will be available by 1930Z,
often much earlier, with the T+24 usually issued between 1600-1630Z.

T+84, 108 and 132 are only produced in the morning, normally based on 00Z
data. T+96 and T+120 are only produced in then evening, generally based on
12Z data and usually both available by 2300Z.

The precise issue times and hence availability will vary for a variety of
reasons, not least the weather situation itself. Plus it's somewhat
dependant on how quickly they're handled by the various web servers that
provide them.

Jon.

PS What's a fax ? ;-)
