Hey all. Love weather, forecast weather as well. I would marry it if
it was avaliable. I wanted to tell you about my site. It's called the Ontario Weather Service. We serve ALL in Southern California. We only update during rain, and wind conditions. We do not care about sunshine, or marine layers. I'm sure you know who the SPC or Storm Prediction Center is right. Well they do not do a very good job with Southern California. They lack a lot of forecasting skills to place any mention of severe storms on the region. This is where we come in. The Ontario Weather Service is Southern California's Storm Prediction Center. We cover what the SPC doesn't. If you live in Southern California, we urge you to look at the site. It is totally free, and we don't believe we should charge for it. Ontairo Weather Service - This site is most like a professional meteorology site. The forecasts have a lot of neat weather terms and explain each of them in detail. The storms are named, and categorized so you know what to expect. Currently working on doing snowfall this winter in the mountains so keep checking for that one. I hold a degree for physics and Atmospheric Sciences. This is why you will see OWS.com is most accurate for thunderstorm dynamics. So if you love thunderstorms, and want to know where they will be, or most area to be hit, OWS.com is that site. There is a lot on the OWS.com site. A lot of goodies, and weather models. BTW, the Ontario Weather Service models will be updated ONLY if storms are forecasted during our FINAL FORECAST. When signed up for the OWS mailing list, this is how that works. 4 days out, the Special Weather Statement email is sent describing what we are seeing. 3 days out, the 3 day watch forecast goes into a bit of detail with timing, and strength. A category number is assigned to the storm. 2 days out, the 2 day watch forecast goes into much more detail focusing on if flooding will occur, thunderstorms, wind damage etc. Category is then raised or lowered depending. 1 day out, the 1 day warning forecast goes into the most detail and basically stamps what the storm system will do. We update the High Resolution Models as well on the OWS site links. Check those out on Thursday! -Free email service and forecasts -The most detailed forecasts -100% Accurate Weather Formulas developed by OWS ONLY -Professionally done Graphics -Web Forums free to post -Live Updates and on calls -Live Videos and Archives of weather events -Storm systems that have Categories of strength (1-5) -Storm Systems that bare names to identify each system -Great Models and Discussions -Much more! Subscribe for free. We have been mentioned on our FIRST year in operation on the NEWS more than once, in the Paper and on the Radio talk shows in Southern California. All of our stuff is forecasted by Kevin Martin, who is a professional in Meteorology holding now the key to a degree MANY people need to have. STOP wasting time and listening to the FAKE websites that claim they know the weather and don't have a degree or knowledge to back it up! Go to the website below and you'll never choose another site again. Why? Because everything on our site will NEVER be copied elsewhere.. That's our gurantee. This site is in no way connected to any Government sites of Meteorology, nor does it affiliate itself with the National Weather Service. OWS is a sole weather service only designed to do one thing.. That is the Ontario Weather Service. Visit us at. www.ontarioweatherservice.com "Southern California's Storm Prediction Center." |
