I have to say that in times gone by 70F was my yardstick for decent holiday
weather - definitely OK for the beach. After the recent seemingly endless
weeks of 25C+ I must have got acclimatised. It felty positively chilly and
almost time for a jumper this morning - albeit there was a considerable
windchill. Shows how you can adapt.

Yes! Walking out of the nursery I work in through the polytunnels i thought
it was a tad chilly and was missing a jumper and long trousers, looked up at
the thermometer and it read 80C!

Know what you mean, I was a bit cold in Birmingham on Sunday and it was
apparently low 20s.

On the same tack I'd be interested to know what the temperature was in
the Crewe area around 1030 this morning. It felt about 15C or perhaps
even lower....
