Just seen the current weather and forecast on the BBC for the south, with
comments such as 'the cloud and rain has now moved off into the continent and it is now dry over most southern areas. Must be the exception here between Brighton & Worthing as the cloudbase is still around 600' full cover vis around 3000 metres and yep rain, exactly the same as when i turned in at 11pm last night, so where is the change? I believe its quite often the case that these TV forecasts are recorded upto
6 hours ahead overnight and can be as old as two to three hours during the day. I imagine they thought it would clear quicker but perhaps the front spilt leaving a hang back of low cloud.
