My current mean temperature for this month is now 2.9°C.
Not only is this colder than the three previous winter months, it is the lowest since I began recording (admittedly only 22 months and counting). I appreciate that the month isn't over yet, and having typed this, a heat-wave may begin at any moment (she added hopefully). I wonder how many other areas / readers are (still) experiencing a similar event? [WR] The winds have finally calmed to a more usual level - Easterly 3 at present. Pressure is high at 1040. A light shower of hail occurred a short time ago. Temperature 4°C at 0900, overnight low of 2°C. -- Gianna An updated version of the heat index calculator program (now using the Stull algorithm rather than Steadman) is available since yesterday at www.buchan-meteo.org.uk/cose.htm |
