After peaking at -0.4C at 1410z, the temperature is now on its way back
down again, currently -1.1C at 1500z. Overnight min was -9.8C which equals the lowest for this winter previously recorded on 29th December. I'll have some of those Devon logs too, please, if there's a cheap way of getting them here; 617 miles according to Autoroute. Just had another tank of oil delivered, so no food now for the rest of the month. It's another cold, crisp, gloriously sunny day here after a little fog this morning. -- Steve Loft, Glenlivet. 200m ASL Weather and webcam: http://www.livet.org.uk/weather |

Oil - you mean you've got central heating?! I'm on the second sack of coal this week, coldest night so far this week -5.0C...... |

My sympathies :-) We have a selection of expensive heating methods - the oil-fired CH, the coal-fired Rayburn, and the wood-burning stove. While I find the character of this house very appealing, there's no way I'd have bought it if it didn't have central heating, knowing that temperatures around -20C have been reached here even in recent times. -- Steve Loft, Glenlivet. 200m ASL Weather and webcam: http://www.livet.org.uk/weather |
