Anyone know where John Horobin is? And Ian Waddel? They always had
copious good points to add to posts on here-

Why your sudden obsession with quoting posts from long ago?

10 years ago is not 'long ago' in my book. I came across this post
while dealing with a private matter with Laurence. I then wondered what
had happened to John Horobin, Ian Waddel and others such as Rob the
Overfield and Alan duckers.

So why not just ask that, rather than reply to a ten-year-old post that
wasn't made by one of the people you mentioned? Surely Googlegroups must
allow you to start a new topic?

I don't think you are getting the point, John.
