With yet another clear and frosty morning I've been impressed how this
high pressure seems to have stayed "clean" of cloud. In recent winters whenever high pressure has become established we normally get one really cold night before the system becomes clogged with cloud - with days of anticyclonic gloom. But this seems different - like anticyclones in the 80s. It's also strange the jump to such cold temperatures - just a couple of weeks back I'm sure the nightime temperatures were in double figures. Did anyone have problems with trying to get warm yesterday? - I'm sure my blood must be thinner than normal and that the lack of any autumn has not given the body a chance to thicken it up in time for winter. |
