Torrential rainfall of 200 mm fell across eastern Louisiana, the southern
portions of Mississippi and Alabama, and western Florida. Similar totals also
fell on Long Island, southeastern New York, and northeastern New Jersey while
25 to 100 mm of rain fell on the remainder of the region.

eastern portions of the nation with up to 250 mm inundating the central Gulf
coast of Florida during the third week.

SOUTH AMERICA
East-Central South America

Rainfall of 50 to 100 mm fell across Uruguay and adjacent parts of Argentina
and Brazil during the first week.

Northeastern Argentina

The region received little or no rain during the second week.

Switzerland, eastern France, and northwestern Italy while neighboring areas
