Again, this doesn't make much sense. In the summer the heat index is likely
to be higher than the actually termpature but this is not usually the case
in very dry climates. For instance, if the actual temperature is 85 degrees
but the humidity is 70 percent and the dew point is 75, the heat index would
be something like 92 or 93 degrees. On the other hand, if the temperature
were 95 degrees with a humidity of 30 percent the heat index might be 90 or
91.

I dont think there are any ranges for the dew point, except,

The dew point cannot fall below the air temperature.
If its 60 degrees out and the humidity is 100% then the dew point
would be 60 degrees.

Likewise if the temp was -25 and the humidity was 100% the dew point
would be -25.
The dew point certainly does go below zero.

But the dew point cannot fall below the air temperature.

Actually thinking about this, I would say that the range for the dew
point is that the dew point cannot fall below the air temp and it
cannot be higher then the air temp.

When the dew point and the air temp are the same then the air is
saturated at 100% humidity.

Yes you are right, I must not have had enough coffee or something to
have posted that.
Yes the dewpoint is always lower then the air temp since the dew
point can't go above the air temp.
So there is no range that I know of to the low end of the dew point,
the colder it gets the lower the dew point will get unless humidity is
100% and then the air temp and the dew point will be the same.
