Default What happened to the Promise of the Reorganized NWS?

I think Accu-Weather is simply using output from the GFS model, and having
it automatically turned into graphics by a computer. This isn't much of an
accomplishment.....it's just hyped-up model numbers.

When the National Weather Service reorganized in the early to mid 90's it
promised much better forecasts that would go out 7 to 10 days... well
a non-governmental private company "ACCU WEATHER" is going out
as far as 15 days with their accurate forecasts.

Like most things the government can't do a very good job.....private

weather
forecasting companies seem to be leaving the federal government NWS in
the dust. Its about time that these private companies compete to put out
the general forecasts.
