First I knew of this storm, (eventually 50 mi. wide by radar) was a blast of
thunder which I first took as the neighbour's truck. Dashed down to the
usual spot on the hill and shot from inside using my window mount. Rain in
my area was brief but other areas of the city got hail of almost golf ball
size. What these pictures can't show is the fact that these cells flashed
every five seconds or less for over an hour. Mostly in clouds of course but
there was enough visible to keep me going for hours.

Just checked local news. Many photos showing hail BIGGER than golf balls,
innumerable car and house windows shattered. Yes it missed me, I only got a
few minutes of rain and a tiny bit of hail. For once a trailer park led a
charmed life.
