With the last snow we had, thousands of geese land on the meadows overhere
to search for food and probably a place to rest. Some farmers chase them away with loud gunshots (illegal). When that army flies up, the sound is incredible! It's like a footballstadium when a goal is scored. -- http://www.flickr.com/photos/37077350@N04/ |

But there are some grey geese in the flock too, so you could chase the black-footed army away while shooting your dinner. -- Sue |
