When I first noticed this, the cloud had a full spectrum of color in
it, just like a color chart, from top to bottom.
by the time I grabbed the camera and got into the shade to block the
sundisk from the lens this is all that was left, still a impressive display
for me..

Here's a pic of a sun halo taken this afternoon with sundogs (left and
right) and a tangent arc on top.

We're in for 50 mm of rain.
