Slight confusion - I always thought yellow colours meant heavier
rainfall than green?


Somewhat illogically, not on the Met Office 's site, it would seem.
Their colour sequence looks a bit too random for my liking and the
design team should have just a smidgeon of egg on their face

Avbrief is OK, their main five colours being Red Orange Yellow Green
Blue (heavy -- light) which is pretty close to my recollection of
the first five colours of the rainbow, in the correct order!

Sadly Dave, I too have always personally preferred the AVbrief site for it's
honesty and clarity. At least the MetO site is free though !
