After the few spots in Coventry at work this afternoon followed by a few more at
home in Kenilworth, I noticed a thick layer of dust on the car. I'm not sure
of the origins of this air but I suspect C Europe, not the Sahara - has anyone
any idea what the dust could be.

Between 2000 and 2100 BST we had a thunderstorm and significant rainfall. Temp
is now 19.9 C and I would think the dew point must be fairly close to that as
well, as there is a clammy mistiness in the air with that distinctive musty,
damp smell.

I'll probably wake in the morning to an explosion of slugs as well. I swear the
little blighters are freeze-died and swell up and come alive when they contact
water.
