I've been every other year in August for a week for the past ten or so
years to Bembridge (Whitecliff Bay) and can't remember a particularly
wet week. Can't go this year on account of being several thousand

miles
away in California :|

Hi, Jonathan,

Ventnor was always my favourite with the Downs as a backdrop.

Death Valley is worth a visit when you are in California - another of my
favourite places. I managed to get a shade reading just above 50C there
with electronic themometer hanging from car window. The official high on
that day was 125F (51.7C).

Have fun, it's Madeira for me this year.

ATB,
