Tideswell, Derbyshire - Monday 29th October 2018
--------------------------------------------------------

0630z CALM 50+km 1Sc040 -01.5/-02.3 1014
RMK: A fine morning with a moderate hoar frost. Icy
patches on hard surfaces. The Cat & Fiddle webcam is
showing fog up there so there is some low stratus
around the hills.

0900z 34004kt 30km SKC +00.6/00.0 1013
RMK: A gorgeous sunny morning. Frost/ice has melted in
the direct sun but persists in shaded areas. All hint
of low stratus has gone.
09-09z: Tx 7.7 (1345z) Tn -1.9 (0710z) RR 1.5
15-09z: Tg -5.9 00-24z: Sun 4.1

1700z 36005kt 50+km 1Sc030 03.2/01.5 1006
RMK: After the sunny start this morning Cu built up
quite quickly and for much of the day it's been
broken cloud and sunny intervals. There were a few
showers in the area this afternoon but they missed us.
Max temp 6.2° so a colder day than yesterday.
My wife had a fall on ice at 0930z this morning.
Fortunately, apart from a nasty bruise on her thigh,
there was no damage done. She was aware of the
potential for ice but it takes only a moment of
inattention :-(
