The max of 4.6° here yesterday was the lowest October daily max that I
have recorded in the 10 years that I have been in Tideswell. The
previous lowest was 5.9° on 20th Oct 2010. Also, yesterday was the
first time that I have recorded snow falling in Tideswell in October in
my 10 years here. A notable day!


I've been recording in Chiswell gree, St Albans since 2002. The only day
with a lower maximum temperature than the 6.7° recorded on 27/10/18 was
5.3° on the 29/10/2008. No snow seen though but a notable day; in may
Octobers the maximum temperature during the day is above 10° throughout the
month.
