A fine afternoon and evening on Wednesday with small amounts of cumulus and cirrus, followed by a mainly clear night. Visibility reduced at times in the northern quadrant owing to ongoing heath fires above Maerdy and Aberdare. Currently there is a small amount of cirrus, dense in places, excellent visibility and no wind at all. Minimum temperature overnight was 10.2 (0452z).
