Default High SSTs in Lyme Bay

The SST (measured 1 metre down in 11 metres' depth) in Lyme Bay passed
20C for the first time this year with a maximum this afternoon of 20.6C.

The unbroken sunshine, calm sea and warmer nights recently have helped,
and with the higher humidity forecast, how high will the temperature go
over this weekend, especially Sunday. Some way to go to beat last year's
22.1C during the heatwave on the 19th June but it is possible.

A swim in the briny is on order for tomorrow, no wetsuit required methinks.

Temperature 17C at the Penzance buoy with the wind offshore! Certainly 20C in favoured onshore spots close in.

23C in the Jubilee pool, which is too warm as is starts to affect the water quality. Closing for the day Monday to do a complete water change.

Min of 16.1C last night, 21.4C @ 09:00.
