I've been trying to browse back numbers of "Weather" via my

various cul-de-sacs on the Wiley website to whom the R Met S has
outsourced *all* its publications. It appears to be impossible to
gain access to any publication despite the R Met S's assertion that
this is free to Members. What is "free" is usually just the title
of an article. This is most dishonest and I am considering not
renewing my membership despite having been a member (Associate

I haven't tried in the last few years but, although I once eventually
gained access to Weather, it was a right pain. I recall that one was
told to login on the Weather site and then go to Wiley's. I know it
didn't work the first few times but, after much wailing and gnashing
of teeth, I stumbled into the site. I don't know how I did it. As
someone once described some commercial software to me, "it's about as
user-friendly as a cornered rat!"
I think I read something from R Met Soc that their system had changed
since I last used it so whether that was a change for the better or
worse, I've no idea.
I wanted to search for an article in 'Weather' recently and I don't
recall having any problem finding it. I went in through the RMetS site.
I'm pretty sure that I located the article in a few minutes.
