Default [OBS] Ystrad, Rhondda - Mon 2 Apr 2018

1000z: 12003KT 3000m Slight rain and drizzle 8ST005 7.7/7.1 QFF 994.7 falling.
SYNOP: 41230 81203 10077 20071 49947 57020 75865 886// 333 88705=
Increasingly thickening cloud on Sunday, with slight rain starting around 1545z. Rain became moderate by 1630z, and remained moderate occasionally heavy until just before 0800z, when it reverted to slight. Snow was mixed in with the rain between 2100z and midnight, and exclusively of snow at times.. Intensity was enough for 2 cm to accumulate on the ground for a short time. The surrounding high ground (up to 550 metres) had a significant amount of snow that lay on the ground until the temperature rose after 0600z this morning - at my site the rise took place between 0730z and 0800z, when it increased by 4-5 degrees C. 40 mm of precipitation had fallen by 0900z, so quite a wet night. Currently misty with extensive low cloud, and slight rain and drizzle. Light ESEly breeze.

01/0900z to 02/0900z:
Max: 7.1 (0857z) [0900z-2100z max: 6.9 (1319z)]
Min: 1.0 (2200z)
Rain: 40.0 mm
