Turned into a lovely late March day. A maximum of 9.8C, after a ground frost, was offset by the light winds, basically calm this moring, & strong sunshine. Frontal cloud just to the east all day, and most of the Cu development to the west.

I'm pleased to say Winter's now finished with Cornwall, of course for those up England . . . After next Sunday's rain the temp should be well into double figures - probably.

7 hours of sun, even over the moors today, http://www.sunrecorder.net/googlemap...serial=1010 1 which was much appreciated. A fair bit more on on some nearby coasts, certainly 9 hours. GFS did a good job of predicting where the western edge of the frontal cloud would be.

Breeze has picked up this evening.

Double figures here too, but they are separated by a decimal point. Today's max was 5.8°C, sunshine nil, rain persistent. The ground is surprisingly sodden given that the month's rainfall is less than 80 mm.

BTW, Graham, the OS Grid Reference given for your weather station must be in error because it places you offshore. Tax-dodging is to be greatly deprecated.

I assume it was the OS Grid Ref on the COL station Google Map you were referring to? I've just loaded Google Earth with the COL stations, and the grid reference under the station details is correct, it just shown in the wrong place on Google Earth. I'll let Roger know.
