Brussels on Saturday 3rd March 2018

Sunny for most of the day, though there was a lot of high cloud in the morning which cleared away by midday. Cloud increased from the south at the end of the afternoon, and the evening has been cloudy but still dry, as far as I can tell.

Frost overnight and at first this morning, but the temperature rose steadily and it was much milder in the afternoon than it has been over the past week ! Light E wind.

Yesterday's 3 cm cover of frozen snow was still intact this morning. With a steady thaw through the day, much of it has now gone, but some areas of snow remain in places that were shaded from the sun.
