Just started here at 1.04pm - though was a small pulse of rain about 40
minutes
ago. Wasn't expecting it until 4ish - but managed to get my painting
done and
dry this morn
Boughton-under-Blean north Kent coast.
Moderate rain started at 1155 gmt.
Just 1.1 mm here much less than I thought going by all the warnings and
hype and the timing for the 'event' from the BBC this morning was
diabolical to say the least.
Now a pleasant afternoon with glimpses of sun and a light south easterly
!

Something is drastically amiss with the weather - it certainly isn't doing
as it's told by the models! Worked in my favour today as the forecast
yesterday was for heavy rain all afternoon in London with strong winds. I
carried on with my anniversary river trip and it was dry, bright and
totally calm on the upper deck of the boat on the Thames!! In fact didn't
spillany tea on my scones ;-)

Pleased it went well Dave, Sadly I cancelled work today due to the forecast,
In the end I would have only lost an hour at most all day so not a happy
bunny!
