Has anyone had any interesting weather down there?

I have not seen any reports so far.

Don't know about Devon (it's a foreign country to me) but in west Cornwall, after a foggy start (unusually thick fog for Penzzance) 30 minutes of heavy rain 10:00-1030. It then brightened up a bit with much improved visibility. Recently more moderate rain with brief very heavy bursts. 8.8mm in the 4 hours 10:00 - 14:00, still raining steadily (14:10).

All in all just plain dismal than interesting.

Just to the west Scilly had some decent spells of sunshine this morning, the clearer skies just visible off Land's End for a while. This allowed the temperature to climb to 18C on St. Martins, with a UV index peaking at 4.3, http://www.weatherlink.com/user/tape...mary&headers=1 which is high for early October.

Smallish but clean wave for the surfers, winds are now only a F3 or so.
