Same sort of thing with Camberwell Grove. Initially a Tudor Mansion, then for the 18th/197t century London wealthy, Once the trains arrived they scarpered to avoid the rif raf in all those properties that followed the rail tracks. When I were kid in sixties Camberwell Grove were full of working class people renting rooms -not flats. Nowadays the old working class streets of off Camberwell Grove I were raised on, have now gone to be replaced social housing non working class estates.
