After 50 minutes the rainfall has reached - wait for it - 1.6mm.
Current rate is 4.4mm/hr. Wow.
Well the day's entire rainfall event has now finished here in West
Fareham , we had 2mm exactly, 22 hour total for the day staring at
midnight
The forecast last night was rain at times all day, heavy at times
especially in the evening. The 1:30 am Weatherview graphics show rain
continuously over the central South from 7 am until midnight and Peter
Gibbs used words such as "will this, will that" with not a hint of
uncertainty - that's what annoys me most. Even the hi-res 5 minute
rainfall radar told me it was raining here for a while this afternoon
- but it wasn't, not at ground level anyway!
I will record in my log "cloudy and dry until 6pm, then occasional
light or moderate rain until 9:30pm. What a washout (and I don't mean
the rain).

Fareham (W).
You only just managed to undercut our 2.2mm of rain in the 24 hour
period ending 28/0900Z, the 'wettest', or perhaps more aptly, the
least driest day of the month so far in Romsey.
The total rainfall for July 2013 to this point stands at 6.5mm.
