All day I've eagerly waited for rain and I get a whole new meaning on Byron's description of and English Summer, 'Two weeks of hot sun and four drops of rain.
I tell you the ground hardly got wet. My cat was asleep on the lawn and slept through it. One rain butt got a tablespoons worth of rain and the other from the roof catchment ; well any water seemed to evaporate before it reached the end of the drain pipe. Is that what I got a YELLOW warning for, THAT?
My goodness, thank god UKMO didn't expect four drops of rain per square meter or they would have had to find new graphics to express the sheer Horror of it all.
