It's a long time ago now, but yes, I was under the distinct impression that she was talking about Sunday, and not Monday John!

And yes Carole Kirkwood has just come out with a similar line this morning for today, although she did qualify it I think by saying something about the highest temperatures being in Kent, which is not surprising as the 1000-500 hPa thickness for Trappes at 0000 UTC was 5693 M and Herstmonceux 5677 M indicating some really quite warm air pushing up across the SE.
