I had to laugh though that mere weeks after the '10 soggy summers'

the same'.

There was no such prediction. You should know better than to believe
the garbage published by the media.

I don't necessarily 'believe' it but I'm looking at how this must
appear to the general public. First they get told to expect 10
miserable, wet summers then hey presto we get a heatwave and the wet
summers seem to be forgotten and hot weather is expected to be the
norm.

It's always been that way, I'm afraid. The media invent a story about
what the Met Office has supposed to have said and then blame them when
what they didn't forecast doesn't come true. And these scum still want
to regulate themselves?!
