Would a responsible meteorological service lower themselves to a
point where they feel the need to go strutting around picking holes
in other peoples' predictions with 6 weeks of summer still to go?

I had to laugh though that mere weeks after the '10 soggy summers'
prediction we get a hot spell and we are told to expect 'more of the
same'.

There was no such prediction. You should know better than to believe
the garbage published by the media.
