As others have mentioned, Cumulus and Weather Display are the two most
widely used alternatives. Most people seem to find Cumulus easier to
use and to configure. But there are at least half a dozen (and more)
other compatible programs. I think you probably need to say what it is
about Weatherlink that you find limiting - that would make it easier to
suggest the best option.
(But the reality is that there isn't a 'perfect' Davis-compatible
program - all of the available software packages have pros and cons.)

Hi John
Thanks for your kind response.
You are of course correct I should've said what I find limiting about
the Davis software. To be honest it's hard to define, I'd like to have a
cloud base calculator, though it's appreciated they're little more than
an educated guess.
Overall it does provide most things a weather enthusiast wants, I'm sure
I could extract the data too if necessary. Unfortunately I'm not the
most computer literate and would probably struggle with it. It all seems
a bit ' clunky ' and perhaps in need of an update.
Sorry for the paucity of my response.
Kind regards
