Will be almost 400 mm rain this December here in Haytor, (that's
probably almost half a years total for places in the SE LOL). Annual
rainfall will be over 2.2 metres and that is after a dry Feb (33mm) and
a dry March (33mm).
Full figures this evening.

Nearly a whole year here sometimes Will! Don't think I'm quite going to
make 800mm this year although certainly record breaking.

No records broken here. December total will be about 137 mm (162
mm, 2002) and for the year about 1045 mm (1101 mm, 2000). These will
be the second highest in each case. Annual mean here (30 yrs) is 815
mm, probably rather higher than most people would have thought.

It was a bit higher than I expected but examination shows similar to
those around you, perhaps you are just at the higher end. I suppose what
is more surprising is that it is 50% higher than the 560mm here, given
the relative closeness, the even more surprising 29 miles, meteorologically.
