Default Since when was Northern England part of Scotland?

If I hear the BBC weather presenter say one more time 'England and Wales,
hot and sunny... Scotland and Northern Ireland cloudy and wet...' I think
I'll scream!
Do they not look at the satellite images and rainfall radar? You can draw a
line from just north of the Wash down to the southwest of Wales and it's
CLOUDY to the north of that line. Here in the northeast of England it's
raining. So according the often glib announcements that's about half of
England and Wales being part of Scotland and Northern Ireland. If they would
just think a little more about the geography of our nation the accuracy of
the forecasts might increase no end.

Not bothering with the beach today... David Allan.

David,
Just watch it for info, read this ng and smile (;0)
