With six months of this last year of the climatological decade now
behind us, I thought I would share with you the changes in the 30 year
climatological means for Coventry since they were last updated in
2000:

It looks as if there is definite evidence of warming, and an increase
in sunshine but little real variation with respect to rainfall.
However, from 1981 to 1999, we used sheathed thermometers and ever
since use electronic sensors, while in the first 16 years sunshine was
measured using a Campbell Stokes recorder, and more recently a
electronic sensor.
Oh, and our enclosure has moved too!
