Default "Heavy snow London & the SE" My A&^%

Well the warning is still out but at 4.8C the temperature will need to fall
a fair bit in the evening and not rise as the front comes in.

I can't believe I just read this!
Maybe that cold air is pushing a little further south than expected.
There is a warning out for snow in essex later on today.

Snap with temp & dew point, I don't see snow here today. The radar looks
pretty weak, would need to be heavy rain to turn to snow. Not convinced,
at least here at Southend.

I believe the front will intensify later on today from the south west
with that cold air cutting in. Like you I don't think we'll see
anything worse than maybe some sleet after dark today.
