It appears that I need to replece the reed switch on my Davis VP1 station
rain sensor as it is was not operating for a time yesterday.
If anyone here has carried out this repair it would be much appreciated if
they could supply details of suitable replacement switch and any other tips
in how to carry out the work.

You can order them online.
Fairly easy to change if you haven't got clumsy fingers like mine. You
will need solder + heater.
I hope this helps.
