I don't know, but it sounds like my cloud to cloud theory was
incorrect!
Drove through a very impressive hail shower just outside St Ives this
morning, had to stop for a couple of minutes for it to ease. Nobody in
surfing at Porthmeor, a bit too challenging with the tide in.

Falmouth Coastguard MRCC was hit by lightning last night knocking out all
radio and telephone communications. All emergency calls are being diverted
to and handled by Brixham MRSC.
