Depends on your budget.
If you've got a £600 budget then look no further than the Davis models.
If however your budget is around the £250 mark then Oregon do some
decent models.

Yes I can spend £600 or slightly more if necessary.
Can you advise which Davis I should go for - I can have cables running into
the house if you feel it would be better?

Your budget was better than mine :-)
I've an Oregon WMR-928 but it's not in the same league as the the Davis
models.
I'm no expert on the Davis models but there are posters here who use
them.

Either wait for those to post their thoughts or maybe take a look at
