Default Advice and opinions for an AWS please

Guys

A friend wants to set up a weather station at his house, high up in the
Picos Mountains in Northern Spain.

Knowing I have a Davis Vantage Pro, he asked my advice regarding an AWS
sold by Maplins . . . . .

Having put that one to bed, he of course wants my recommendations...so..

* He wants something with PC connectivity so he can pull data in to his
web site.

* He wants something robust but not bombproof!

* The data is for indicative purposes only. It does not have to be
accurate to 0.01 DegC!

* A pretty console display is not required as the data will be viewed
via the website.

* Lower cost is better but value for money is paramount.

* Wired or wireless not really an issue.

At the moment, he is looking at a personal import of a La Crosse.

I have no experience of these so cannot offer an opinion.

I (and he) would very much appreciate anyones views and advice on
something suitable.

TIA

Regards

Neil
